My husband and I just closed on a house in Knoxville and used Blake Rickels as our realtor. We could not have asked for a better person to do business with! After looking at many houses over several months Blake found us the perfect one that met our needs and wants! Blake was extremely patient with us throughout the many houses he showed us. He was all about what we wanted and made a point to listen and understand where we were coming from. He is incredibly familiar with all areas in Knoxville and came prepared with information regarding each individual house we looked at... Comps, neighborhood details, schools, etc. We had heard the process of buying a house can be stressful; however, when working with Blake there was no stress due to his knowledge and experience!!
After doing some research on local realtors, my husband found Blake Rickels. Before sitting down with Blake for an initial consultation, we decided that we were looking for a realtor that was familiar with Knoxville, someone who communicates well, is trustworthy, and above all patient. Immediately after contacting Blake, we received a phone call to meet with him. Being a business owner myself, this sealed the deal. Throughout this process Blake was always a text/call/email away. He was extremely patient with us as first time homebuyers. He has even continued the relationship after buying our home, to ensure we are completely satisfied. I highly recommend using Blake Rickels as your agent!
Blake Rickels sold my home in 4 days for Full price! I recommend him due to his work ethic, honesty, and communication skills!! Blake is also endorsed by Dave Ramsey and gives great advice!! If you are looking for one of the best Realtors in the Knoxville, TN or surrounding areas then I couldn't recommend anyone but Blake Rickels as I have worked with plenty of other local real estate agents in the pasts and Blake is just second to none.
I met Blake 4 years ago when I was considering selling my home. He sent me an email asking if I would consider interviewing him for the position of my realtor. Not being hounded and feeling pressured? sign me up. We listed our home THREE times with him (yes, 3) and each time chickened out of selling, for one reason or another. Did he mind? Not one bit. Fast forward 4 years, he just sold my parents house in less than 2 weeks, and we still keep in contact. He is amazing at what he does, and there is a reason he is rated #1 in Knoxville.

Blake has a history of selling homes when others couldn't. We stumbled onto Blake after several failed Realtors during the heart of the housing crisis in 2009. Blake took the time to explain to us the local market, what to expect throughout the entire process, the selling points of our home, competing homes and he didn't just try to get us to lower the selling price. It is no surprise to my wife and I that Blake has grown his business as a Realtor to what it is today. Blake is trustworthy, fair, honest, personable and has integrity. I would recommend him as THE go-to Realtor in Knoxville if you are looking to buy or sell a property!
I recently sold my house and Blake was my realtor. It was a more difficult situation because I was in another state while I was waiting for my house to sell. However, Blake made it as painless as possible. He handled anything that arose and he called me weekly to discuss the process and to give updates on how many people had viewed the house, feedback, etc. (this was in addition to email updates, as well). He always took the time to answer all of my questions and any time I talked to him, I felt like I was his priority (I have been made to feel differently by other realtors, so this was important for me). I had not sold a house before, and Blake gave me very honest advice and feedback, but also made it clear that he would support whatever decisions I made (pricing, whether or not to accept an offer, etc). I am very happy with Blake's service and if I ever go back to Knoxville, I will definitely contact him if I am looking to buy!
After working with over 5 agents (unsuccessfully until Blake!!) trying to buy our first house I can offically say Blake Rickels is the best agent ever! He made the process easy and painless and I would highly recommend him!!
I rarely give a 5-star review, but Blake is well deserving! We used Blake to sell our home in Knoxville while living 1,800 miles away. He went above and beyond to make the selling process easy on us! He had lots of connections for getting the property ready to sell. He dealt with our tenant (quite an undertaking) to coordinate showings. And did a superior job communicating long distance! He is passionate, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and professional. He had more than 15 showings in 3 days and we were under contract in less than 5 days! We closed on the house from Texas and felt like we were represented by the best! He's great and I'd recommend him to anyone!
